Seminar Energiemärkte in Kooperation mit Praxispartnern
Energy Systems and Market Design Lab led by Prof. Dr. Veronika Grimm (UTN), in cooperation with the Chair of Economics, Industrial Organization, and Energy Markets (Prof. Dr. Gregor Zöttl, FAU) and various industry partners, is offering an interdisciplinary seminar on energy markets during the Summer Semester 2025 under the theme “Energy, AI and economic growth”. The seminar will take place as a block course during the semester. The seminar language is English.
The seminar can be credited as either Seminar zur Wirtschaftstheorie (WiSo, Bachelor), Seminar Energy Markets (WiSo, Master), or Energieökonomisches Seminar (WiSo, Bachelor as well as TechFak).
The goal of the seminar is to discuss problems and developments in the energy market based on economic theories, both through theoretical modeling and practical applications. Participants will not only engage with academic papers and models but also learn how to connect theory and practice and apply economic models to real-world scenarios through close collaboration with industry partners.
Organizational Details
- Eligibility: Open to Bachelor’s, Diplom, and Master’s students (3 CP / 5 ECTS)
- Requirements:
- 15-page seminar paper
- 20-minute presentation
- Peer review and active discussion participation
- Introductory Meeting: Details will be announced in advance on the chair’s website. Registration for the seminar will follow.
